Mary Bracken Phillips is an award winning playwright, actress and teacher whose Broadway roles include Martha Jefferson in "1776" and Grace Farrell in "Annie". She was a soloist in Leonard Bernstein’s “Mass” at the Kennedy Center and the Metropolitan Opera and toured as featured vocalist for Michel LeGrand in concerts including Carnegie Hall, Wolf Trap Farm, Concord Jazz Festival, Arie Crown Theatre and others. She was nominated for a 1992 Tony Award for her lyrics to the Broadway musical "Metro".

Ms Phillips has a BA in Theatre/Voice from Kansas University and an MFA from the NYU Graduate Musical Theatre Writing Program. She is a member of AEA, SAG/AFTRA, The International Center for Women Playwrights, B.M.I. and The Dramatists Guild.
